    About me

I’ve been doing photography since about the sixth grade, somewhere since 1979. He was educated at the Kuban State University with a degree in Chemistry. This allowed me to get into the forensic science laboratory as a junior research fellow, having not yet received a diploma of graduation, and almost a year later transferred to the regional police department as an expert chemist in the Forensic Department. There, in the rank of junior lieutenant, he received a diploma while working as an expert and studying at the evening department of the chemistry department of KSU. At both places, photographic skills came in handy. This is mandatory in the work of an expert. After leaving the Ministry of Internal Affairs, he began to engage in private enterprise. He began to service the aquarium farms and ponds. This is my main specialty to date. With the advent of digital photography, I, like many, began to pay more attention to various editors, such as Photoshop. Engaged in retouching. I got professional digital equipment. I also shot weddings for a while. Until I met one photographer, a filmmaker, who in Soviet times was very much in demand and is known in Krasnodar. He asked me to take his photo studio to Novorossiysk and after the trip showed me his old slides shot on a large format camera. It was this incident that triggered my return to analog photography, which by this time in Russia had begun to revive a little. And also, about a year later, I accidentally stumbled upon the work of the St. Petersburg photographer Misha Burlatsky, who already used the wet-collodion photography method invented by the Englishman Archer in 1851. I went to Peter to Burlatsky, having returned back I began to try. That was in November 2015. And in November 16th I held my personal exhibition of ambrotypes in Krasnodar. And a month later in December, one of my works won the second prize in the competition of Dmitry Morozov. Now I’m shooting very rarely on a number, mainly an ambrotype and a film. I study this area in more detail, experimenting with collodion recipes. Along the way, I'm building my own studio.
I am a member of the Russian creative union Photographic Art and a member of the Russian Geographical Society.
